The Maryalise Trilogy

I am excited to have been part of the Author Showcase Panel at Surry International Writing Contest this weekend. As a member of the panel, I was given 2 ½ minutes to talk about my books. The Maryalise Trilogy is middle-grade fantasy. Maryalise is a young fairy with powerful magic.

In book one, Maryalise and the Singing Flowers, she is hidden in the mortal world as a mortal child with no memory of her previous existence.  She discovers who she is and how to use her magic.  Ultimately she must go down into an underground cavern, without magic, to rescue her father who has been captured by the evil Fairy Villiana

In book two, Maryalise and the Stolen Years, she discovers that the tombstones in an abandoned cemetery are changing.  Years of beauty and magic have been stolen. With the help of Cuthlebert, a ghost, she must descend below the cemetery to find Villiana and force her to return the stolen years and magic.

In book three, Maryalise and the Snatched Fairy, Maryalise must outwit the golem in order to enter the Fairytale Dimension and rescue her friend William. She goes back in time and now everyone in the mortal dimension will be frozen until she returns.  She meets the Cheshire Cat—well his head and tail. His middle parts became invisible when his magic was stolen and he wants them back.  In order to rescue William, Maryalise must outwit the Hansel and Gretel Witch, Baba Yaga and escape from the house on chicken legs that chases her.

The Maryalise Trilogy is available on Amazon.
